OPS Office Assistant Opportunity

Tallahassee State College (TSC), recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025, is excited to announce a part-time opportunity for the position of OPS Office Assistant with Academic Affairs. We are seeking a dedicated professional who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace community.

What You'll Do

As an OPS Office Assistant, the day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Greet and assist guests in a polite and professional manner when stationed at the front desk or near the office lobby.
• Serve as a runner to deliver time-sensitive documents, small packages, or supplies to designated offices or departments (e.g., Academic Divisions).
• Assist with filing basic non-confidential documents, organizing materials, or preparing information packets under supervision.
• Restock supplies in shared spaces such as the copy room, workroom, or meeting areas (e.g., paper, pens, folders).
• Prepare meeting rooms by ensuring materials or water bottles are set up as needed.
• Assist in shredding or recycling tasks for old or expired non-sensitive documents.
• Help maintain a clean and organized work environment by tidying shared areas or returning items to their proper place.
• Support light clerical tasks such as stuffing envelopes, labeling folders, or organizing incoming/outgoing mail.
• Shadow staff members occasionally observe basic administrative workflows and develop familiarity with professional office operations.
  
  

Work schedule: Up to 20 hours per week.
