What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Assistant position at Tampa Family Health Centers?
Position Summary:
Provide varied administrative, clerical and professional support duties required to efficiently and effectively deliver core administrative functions across Human Resources Department operations, especially with employment, benefits and employee relations activities.
Essential Functions:
Completes new hire and termination; makes staff identification badges, as needed; prepares and deliver the new employee orientation process
Verifies employment and background checks as needed, for employees at all stages of employment
Supports credentialing operations as required, often with provider CV/resume data, including necessary research of work history and gaps in work history; assist in monitoring provider licensure and certifications
Responsible for Human Resources files of all types, paper and electronic, ensuring documents and materials are kept safe and confidential.
Confirm new hire work eligibility using E-verify web system.
Provides all clerical and administrative services for all aspects of Human Resource functions
Strict adherence to all HIPAA, Tampa Family Health Centers, Inc. (TFHC), state, federal and accreditation agency rules, regulations and standards
Other duties as assigned
General Duties:
Supports the Mission, Vision and Values of TFHC
Answers incoming telephone calls with professional courtesy, transferring as appropriate to staff or voice mail. Greets and screens visitors, providing excellent customer service to ensure visit needs are addressed
Maintains Complaint Log records of administrative complaints regarding staff and facilities, forwarding items received to appropriate management member(s)
Maintains centralized schedule for conference rooms at Corporate Offices, via Microsoft Office applications
Performs sorting and distribution of mail and external courier deliveries, as assigned
Knowledge and Experience:
Computer proficiency with strong working knowledge of common applications of MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Must be able to perform multiple tasks accurately and timely
Education, Certification Training and License:
High school diploma, or equivalent
Minimum of (2) years of experience or professional training
