A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated Contracts Manager to join their growing team. In this role, the Contract Manager will be responsible for overseeing contract development and management activities, enforcing organizational principles of integrity and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Procurement team's objectives by negotiating, executing, and managing commercial contracts for the acquisition of technology-related products and services
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts in the area of technology across different product categories
- Lead negotiations on contract modifications with stakeholder input
- Assist internal stakeholders with contractual matters, requirements, risk management, and mitigation strategies
- Ensure the level of effort and attention to detail is commensurate with the complexity, value, and risk associated with the acquisition
- Establish an acquisition strategy to include the type of contract, milestones, and business requirements
- Coordinate review of contracts or purchase agreements with Procurement Management and in conjunction with Office of General Counsel, as required
- Analyze vendor proposals and price quotes; perform cost or price analysis, including review of cost breakdowns to determine reasonableness
- Develop negotiation objectives and lead negotiations related to contract pricing, terms, and conditions with potential contractors
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in IT Contracting, especially in Software Licensing and IT infrastructures
- Deep understanding of Contract Negotiation & Management principles
- Strong knowledge of Contract Law, Compliance requirements, and commercial best practices
- Proficiency in Contract Lifecycle Management tools (e.g., Vendoor)
- Excellent analytical skills for reviewing and interpreting complex contract terms and assessing risk
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines independently or as part of a team
Desired Skills:
- Juris Doctorate
- Experience with Cloud Services and Artificial Intelligence (AI) terms negotiations
