The Doctors Company has an opportunity for a Member Advocate to join our collaborative and dynamic team. Our Member Advocates are a vital part of the Underwriting Team and are often the face of the company. In this customer-centric role, you will be empowered to provide best-in-class member experiences during every interaction.  This is a hybrid opportunity at our Napa, CA office.

Qualifications

  • One to three (1-3) years of related customer service experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent phone and written communication skills
  • Proficiency and aptitude in use of computer information systems with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
  • Proficiency in use of phone systems
  • Ability to accurately type a minimum of 40 WPM

Salary Range: $42,390 - $52,365

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide superior customer service, as the initial point of contact for the insured 
  • Proactively anticipate caller’s needs, ask probing questions to ensure understanding of call content and to minimize any need for follow up
  • Proactively follow through on customer commitments
  • Use skills learned in training to increase professional performance in the areas addressed in the training
  • Ensure all processing activities are accurately completed
  • Adhere to assigned schedule and proactively communicate any modifications needed to management
  • Perform other assignments as requested and directed by management
