- Performs specialized and complex assembly and tests of mechanical/ hydraulic assemblies. Act as technical referee in a specialized field and/or coordinate a small team of technicians
- Assembles and tests assemblies according to specifications. Applies specialized skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment in area of expertise
- Completes required test documentation including test reports, failed test reports and NCRs. Assists with FAT’s and SIT’s
- Assists with design, sets-up, maintains and utilizes test stations and test equipment for factory and system acceptance testing
- Troubleshoots problems, identifies and communicates design discrepancies. Identifies and suggests design improvements
- Uses material handling equipment to move parts, components and sub-assemblies from one work or storage area to another as required
- Collects and inputs information in specific systems for cost tracking purposes
- Suggests improvements to Assembly Procedures. May draft new procedures as assigned
- Performs all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area
- Supports in training and orienting less experienced colleagues. May act as coordinator of a small team of technicians
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of education, if candidate successfully completes an aptitude and reading comprehension assessment in the pre-employment process.
- 5 years of experience
- Proficiency to read and interpret drawings and technical documentation in assembly
- Knowledge/ use of integrated systems and more tools, complex equipment and techniques
