Position Description
Your Opportunity:
In this full-time position with TechSource you will perform work for the National Nuclear Security Agency (NNSA), supporting the Office of Systems Engineering and Integration (NA-18), as well as other product-focused organizations such as NA-15. As a Technical Writer, you will coordinate, organize, track, write, edit, and distribute technical documents, including meeting minutes, action items, reference materials, memorandums, and service bulletins for Department of Energy (DOE) stakeholders.
It is a hybrid schedule, with at least 3 days in the office per week, depending on client meetings and needs. Your onsite work with be at the NNSA ABQ offices on Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM.
What You Will Do:
- Work with technical experts to write and edit documents that convey technical concepts, assessments, or presentations for stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Review and edit products for proper classification, classification markings, format, and grammar.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with multiple agencies to organize and plan meetings of various sizes, i.e. create and send announcements and agendas, attendance tracking, conference room reservation, document control of briefing materials, and action item reviews.
- Provide administrative support for meetings, including general and secure Video Teleconferences management, Entry Access Lists, meeting minutes, and MS Office slide presentations.
What You Will Need:
- 3 or more years of technical writing experience. DOE Phase 6.X process experience preferred.
- Active DOE Q (or DoD TS) security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or other related field. Equivalent experience considered.
- Desktop publishing proficiency including Adobe Acrobat, and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to write clear, concise, engaging, and grammatically correct content.
- Manage time-sensitive deadlines simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent writing and communication skills; ability to maintain positive relationships with team members, clients, and senior leadership.
- Strong collaborative and team-building skills.
- May require travel (10%).
