Job TitleAdministrative Associate II Agency Texas A&M Agrilife Research Department Agriculture Education Proposed Minimum Salary$15.00 hourly Job LocationCollege Station, Texas Job TypeStaff Job Description The Administrative Associate II, under general supervision, assists with the coordination and management of administrative support for the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications. The incumbent coordinates the planning, development, and implementation of administrative tasks that ensure the success of students, faculty, and administration. Specifically, the individual may be expected to: Serve as an administrative liaison between the department and various centralized college administrative services, including but not limited to IT, advising, business services, events planning, and communications. Answer and direct telephone calls from the departmental main phone line. Greet visitors, ascertaining the nature of business and directing visitors to the appropriate person efficiently. Receive, sort, and route mail and perform other mail services. Schedule room requests and parking reservations. Produce correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets as needed (i.e. inventory, mailing lists, itineraries, etc.). Compose and assemble thank you notes for department donors. Work with department administrator to organize faculty transfers and moves. Serve as a liaison for departmental equipment and service contracts. Maintain and order office supplies and class materials. Provide administrative support, planning, and execution of special events. May participate in the hiring, training, and supervision of student workers and other support staff. Other job-related responsibilities as assigned. Required Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and a minimum of two years of related experience. Preferred Education & Experience Associate or bachelor's degree preferred, with three years of related experience. Experience in higher education preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality. All positions are security-sensitive.
