Position Information
- Responsible for the agency’s tax reporting such as Unrelated Business Income Tax, Hotel Occupancy Tax, Sales tax, as well as TAMUS other reports such as BE-125, IPEDS, and other reports as needed.
- Provides guidance and assistance to departments regarding inventory and revenue recognition reconciling.
- Analyzes service center financials throughout the fiscal year and provides guidance as needed.
- Oversee federal capacity award cost share requirements for the agency.
- Track lease data for financial reporting purposes and complete reconciliation of LeaseQuery and FAMIS.
- Prepares and provides oversight for quarterly ABEST and APS018 reporting.
- Perform data analysis and upload monthly mileage expenditures.
- Serve as back-up administrator for the reconciliation software (Cadency) and the FAMIS Transaction Portal for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Texas A&M, AgriLife Research and Texas A&M Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory.
- Assist in the development and refinement of procedures for all administrative reconciliation software functions.
- Assist in developing consistent best practices and procedures for reconciliation processes.
- Serves as a back-up to manage data workflows and financial uploads between FAMIS, Cadency, and ePay software platforms.
- Coordinate both internally with fiscal units and externally with departmental contacts on data requirements for accounting uploads.
- Supervise Student Worker.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years of accounting-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with large data sets.

Salary: Compensation for this position is commensurate based on the selected candidate’s qualifications.
Flexible Work Arrangements: Flexible work schedule and remote work may be available for this position, pending employee eligibility requirements are met in accordance with AgriLife Alternate Work Location Procedures.
