The Premium Audit team is a vital part of assuring accurate premium adjustments are made while providing excellent customer service to all stakeholders.

As an Associate Premium Auditor/Premium Auditor, you will perform physical premium audits at our policyholder’s locations in accordance with the Texas Basic Manual of Rules, classifications, and rate for Workers’ Compensation and Employers’ Liability Insurance.

The ideal person for this position is a self-starter and self-motivated problem solver who enjoys analyzing details and interacting with others. This position requires in state travel to policyholder sites mainly in the Austin, Waco and San Antonio areas. A company vehicle will be provided.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
As an associate premium auditor, you can expect to:
  • Conduct onsite audits by examining financial records and performing interviews to determine the final earned premium for the policyholder.
  • Analyze financial reconciliations, policyholder payroll records, job classification codes, and contracts.
  • Develop and maintain policyholder relationships, deliver excellent customer service, and promote policyholder retention.
  • Communicate with policyholders to ensure their understanding and compliance.
  • Identify and refer potential fraud.
As a premium auditor, you would expect the same roles and responsibilities as an associate premium auditor as well as:
  • Conduct more complex onsite audits
  • Training staff, policyholders and agents on auditing as requested.
It is required that you have:
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, or experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience in Premium Audit or a closely related discipline for associate premium auditor. At least 2 years of experience for premium auditor or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, computer, and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid Texas Drivers’ license.
It would be nice if you have:
  • CPCU or Associate in Premium Audit designation.
Texas Mutual Pay Transparency
The base pay range is based on the market evaluation of the job and may include pay for multiple levels. Individual base pay within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including experience, performance, education, and demonstration of skills and competencies required for each role. Your recruiter can discuss the full value of our total compensation package with you, including our generous bonus plans and flex-hybrid work model.
Base Pay Range: $27.13 - $44.61 Per Hour

Texas Mutual’s flex-hybrid schedule allows you to bring your best self to work by working remotely and collaborating in the office based on business needs. All Texas Mutual employees are required to have Texas residency and travel to their designated office as needed.
