Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
- Ability to operate a variety of turf and grounds maintenance equipment, riding, zero turn and push mowers, line trimmers, tractors, and paint machines
- Ability to communicate verbally and receive instructions that may require duties to be completed individually or as part of a team
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and make decisions
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, prepare work logs and records, perform basic math
- Ability to perform strenuous physical duties outdoors in various weather conditions, including walking long distances
- Ability to work in inclement weather
Preferred Qualifications
- Texas Department of Agriculture –Pesticide Applicators License.
- Experience maintaining and/or marking athletic fields.
Job Description
Responsible for providing attractive, safe, and well maintained grounds.
Job Duties
- Mow and trim grounds.
- Pick up litter.
- Fertilize soil.
- Conduct chemical weed control.
- Maintain and mark fields.
- Prepare field for games.
- Maintain, service, and adjust equipment.
- Maintain work logs, mileage, and equipment manuals and chemical records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- This position requires driving University vehicles.
