Top Central Texas Credit Union is seeking an Insurance Support Specialist at our Headquarters location in Temple, TX. This position is for someone who thrives on being organized, has excellent communication skills, and works well with a team. This is the perfect role to gain insurance agency experience with the potential to be promoted to a Texell Insurance Sales Agent role! You will assist members with their insurance needs as well as help support our Insurance Agents. We strive to exceed members expectations and provide a WOW! experience during each interaction, as our members are what makes Texell so awesome!
As an Insurance Support Specialist, you will:
- Essentially be supporting two departments - Lending and Texell Financial. Wait, you don’t know what Texell Financial is? We have our very own insurance department called Texell Financial. We’ll get to more of this in just a second. This role is vital for both departments being successful.
- Be responsible for various reports, with both daily and monthly deadlines.
- Be on the phone. A lot. At Texell, we don’t sugar coat things and are very clear about expectations. You will make a wide variety of phone calls. For example, you’ll support Lending with making phone calls that are welcoming new members to Texell – but also make phone calls that are trying to remedy insurance snafus. Oh, and Texell Financial – we want all our members to gain the benefits of having Texell Financial as their insurance of choice. So naturally, you’ll be a sales advocate for Texell Financial.
- Have the potential to grow into a sales agent! Yes! Here it is. This is your steppingstone. What do you need to do? Knock our socks off. Go above and beyond. Be a Rockstar.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a high school diploma or GED
- Has a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience. Okay – this is more just really preferred.
- Has excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Yes, you see this all the time. But with this position, it’s critical.
