What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at The Bolton Group?
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will oversee the company's financial records, accounting operations and accounting personnel. You will be responsible for maintaining all processes, procedures, policies and controls related to the company's financial accounting.
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
- Manage and maintain the company's general ledger and accounting functions (including A/P, A/R, cash management, and payroll).
- Oversee the month-end close process, financial reporting (financial statement preparation), and department scorecards.
- Manage monthly reporting utilizing key financial and operating metrics in order to provide business insights to senior leadership.
- Monitor, manage, and enhance accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
- CPA and/OR CMA certification strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting processes and procedures, and process improvement initiatives.
- Manufacturing, retail, and/or consumer goods industry experience strongly preferred.
Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
