Job Description
Title / Position: Education Coordinator

Position Summary:
Major responsibility is to deliver quality and developmentally appropriate programs, activities, services, and special events. This position has specific programing and operational responsibilities as assigned by the Unit Director. Provide a safe, fun learning environment that enables a member to grow and develop into a responsible adult.
Schedule is 20 hours per week (subject to change in the event of an early dismissal or school vacation) - Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Summer Camp hours vary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the delivery of a broad range of supplementary education and educational enhancement programs at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Billerica Drop-In Program.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare Youth for Success
1. Plan and oversee the administration of designated Clubhouse supplementary education programs and activities that support Youth Development Outcomes:
- Establish Clubhouse program objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission.
- Oversee the provision of day-to-day program activities in accordance with established standards and goals.
- Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities and receive instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills in program area(s).
- Demonstrate leadership to assure conduct, safety and development of members.
Program Development and Implementation
- Responsible for the delivery of BGCGB core programs, activities, and events as directed.
- Provide supervision and discipline of members participating in programs and services within the program area as well as throughout the clubhouse as deemed appropriate.
- Establish and maintain Clubhouse supplementary education program goals and settings that insure the health and safety of members. Secure and maintain materials, equipment and other resources belonging to the program area(s). Maintain a safe and clean program area(s).
- Ensure the evaluation of club supplementary education programs on a continual basis and ensures programs/activities respond to member needs.
- Control departmental and other assigned program and activity expenditures within approved budget.
- Participate in collaborative programs and events with staff from other clubhouse departments as well as staff from other BGC clubhouses and community organizations as appropriate.
- Participate in individual and group supervision sessions; participate in professional development opportunities as appropriate.
- Assessing our impact is critical to our work. All staff is expected to participate in various evaluation efforts throughout each program year, including the annual member survey.
- Other related duties as specified by the Unit Director.
