Responsibilities
The candidate will work with Draper’s Embedded Software Group with the focus on low-power sensor systems, multi-processor complex embedded software systems. Domain includes imaging, GPS, cellular, guidance, navigation, control and mapping systems. The selected candidate will work in a small team to map customer needs into a software solution using a combination of custom, commercial and open-source software.
Qualifications
We seek summer intern applicants who are experienced in the following areas:
- Embedded software development on ARM processors, low power microcontrollers, C/C , RTOS, and embedded Linux
- Hardware interfaces and driver development
- Communication protocols such as I2C, BLE, SPI, Serial, USB, TCP/IP and Wi-Fi
- C#, Java or Android development experience is an added plus
- Open source software with emphasis on modularity, extensibility and reuse
- Thorough understanding of the product development and engineering project management process
