Facility Physical Environment: School-Based
Essential Duties: The primary role of the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is to support the development, implementation, and refinement of programmatic and individual behavioral supports for students with social, emotional, and behavioral health needs. The BCBA will function as a specialist whose expertise will increase the capacity of all Citywide and school-based staff to provide behavioral support to students effectively and will also serve as the primary interventionist in the modeling of data collection, strategies, and following of BIPs/BSPs to support the student in decreasing behaviors interfering with their ability to access the general education classroom instruction and curriculum.
Qualifications
Education:
• Master’s degree in education, or a related field. The degree must be from an accredited college or institution
License:
• A valid Maryland license for the practice of Behavior Analysis
• Certification in Behavior Analysis
Experience:
- At least one year of experience working with children with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
