Job Overview

Superior Plaster is seeking an experienced and motivated Bilingual Lath Superintendent to lead field operations on some of the finest residential and commercial projects in the Tucson area. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for a seasoned journeyman lather with strong communication and team-building skills. You'll supervise lath crews, coordinate materials, enforce safety protocols, and ensure top-quality work is delivered on schedule. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Bilingual communication required; must demonstrate excellent communication skills with clients, team members, and leadership.
• Collaborate respectfully with fellow foremen and superintendents to ensure a smooth and efficient job site workflow.
• Inspect buildings prior to lath application and report any deficiencies to office or site leadership.
• Assign work sections based on project timelines and team performance.
• Manage materials: assess needs, track inventory, and provide materials to all lathers on-site.
• Identify and address hazards to ensure job site safety and compliance.
• Secure materials daily to protect assets and maintain site organization.
• Conduct weekly progress and quality inspections; document findings and follow up on corrective actions.
• Perform Pre-Stucco Inspections on all sections to ensure readiness for final draws.
• Collect draw requests and maintain an accurate payroll ledger for on-site lathers.
• Submit material orders to the office a minimum of 2 days in advance.
• Manage the collection and relocation of excess lath materials to appropriate project areas.
• Ensure the cleanliness of all workspaces, including rooms and balconies; enforce daily housekeeping standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of lathing experience across multiple project types.
• Familiarity with a wide range of waterproofing and lath systems.
• Proven leadership abilities with a positive, professional attitude toward directing teams.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
• Commitment to job site safety, efficiency, and craftsmanship.
• OSHA certification preferred (or willingness to obtain - training can be provided).
