Job Overview

Gulf Coast Industrial is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Estimator to join our Field Operations team. This full-time, on-site role is key to ensuring accurate and competitive cost estimates for industrial construction projects. The Estimator will leverage field experience and union trade knowledge to develop comprehensive bids, collaborating closely with operations and field teams. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for industrial construction projects.
• Consult with engineers, field personnel,and trades to gather data for accurate cost estimation.
• Collaborate with project managers to align estimates with execution plans.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality or safety.
• Participate in bid reviews and post-bid negotiations.
• Track historical cost data and maintain estimate documentation.
• Conduct site visits to assess project scope and field conditions when necessary.
• Prepare detailed estimate reports for internal and client review.
• Assist in the hand-off process to project management upon award.
  
  

Qualifications

• Estimating experience in industrial construction environments.
• Field experience with trades (Boilermakers, Ironworkers, Pipefitters, Millwrights, Operators) highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of labor productivity, material takeoffs, and construction methods.
• Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field experience preferred.
• Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.

Schedule

• Full-Time, Monday-Friday, overtime and weekends with minimal notice

• On-site at Gulf Coast Industrial
• Projects primarily based across the Gulf Coast region with occasional out of state travel.
