Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Supervise and coordinate daily field operations for utility crews.
- Conduct weekly safety meetings and participate in project cost/job reviews.
- Ensure team compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
- Manage hiring, training, supervision, and performance of field personnel.
- Operate various equipment: mini, medium, and large excavators, skid steers, backhoes, dozers.
- Perform site grading using lasers, transits, and related equipment.
- Review project submittals for accuracy and compliance.
- Identify and document potential change orders.
- Manage material take-offs, procurement, and inventory.
- Coordinate trade and subcontractor progress.
- Schedule equipment deliveries and coordinate inspections with governing authorities.
- Track labor, job costs, and prepare timesheets and project look-ahead schedules.
- Lead projects to completion on time and under budget.
- Perform skilled maintenance and repair activities as needed.
- Prepare required reports and documentation to meet compliance standards.
- 5 years experience as a wet utility foreman in the underground utility industry.
- Strong knowledge of blueprints, specifications, codes, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using grading equipment and laser systems.
- Ability to work throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- OSHA 30 Certification (required)
- Valid Driver's License (required)
- HEO, Confined Space, Trench/Excavation certifications (preferred)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
- Must maintain punctual and consistent attendance.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
