What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian - Cleveland Temple position at The Salvation Army Eastern Territory?
Overview
Ensure that the facility is clean to the highest standard and is able to function without interruption on a daily basis. This position pays $13/hr.
Responsibilities
- Set up and tear down for special events / programs.
- Maintain cleaning and sanitation techniques, while utilizing and operating commercial equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of building and property
- Performs building repairs and performs maintenance repairs, as requested.
- Assist in driving The Salvation Army’s vehicles for supplies, equipment or service as assigned.
- Assist, as needed and requested, in the Christmas effort including kettles.
- Takes pride in work and in the cleanliness of the building.
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.
• Must be 21 years or older• Must have a valid Ohio Drivers License and be able to drive for The Salvation Army• Must have prior maintenance / janitorial experience
SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and appropriate intervention skills required. • Strong knowledge of available resources required.• Must be passionate about the Mission of The Salvation Army and the Vision of the Cleveland Temple Corps.
