Developmental Specialist

Educ-Office of Child Development - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (22000337)
This incumbent will provide weekly on-site consultation in early childhood classrooms and related community settings to teachers, parents and other Early Childhood staff to support the inclusion and progress of children birth to age eight with challenging behaviors, medical conditions, and/or developmental delays or disabilities.Responsibilities include assess all early education programs, adult child relationships, observe/assess children, collaborate to design plans, monitor progress, involve parents, and maintain ongoing communications with the early childhood program. Link families to community services and programs.
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, special education, psychology, social work or related discipline is required. At least three years of working experience in early childhood education, intervention, development, or special-needs is preferred. Child Protection Clearances required prior to start. TB Test within 30 days of hire.
