Pre-Award Administrator

University Center for Social and Urban Research - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (22004564)

The incumbent is responsible for the Pre-Award Sponsored Project and special project proposal submissions for the Center. The incumbent will serve as a contact for pre-award activities and for preparation and submission of all financial data and documentation related to the submission of a wide variety of externally funded grants and sub-award agreements Will work independently with Center investigators and staff to apply federal, foundation, and University guidelines, policies, and procedures for funding submissions. This position will also assist with the Vincent system for the Center.

Prior University experience in the management of research funds or other University accounts is preferred. Associate's degree in relevant field such as accounting or business management or equivalent experience with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant account administration experience. Experience with automated accounting packages and demonstrated written and oral communication skills are essential. N/A

Department Details Mission Statement The mission of UCSUR is to work collaboratively to conduct interdisciplinary research that improves communities and addresses social, economic, health, and policy issues most relevant to society. UCSUR carries out this mission by (1) providing research support infrastructure and training in the social and behavioral sciences to faculty throughout the University; (2) collecting and disseminating regional and national policy-relevant data to support faculty research and community development, and (3) conducting original research in a few focused areas, including urban impact analysis, survey methodology, and psychosocial aspects of aging.
