Role Description
The Valley Hunt Club is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and supporting the Controller in maintaining the Club’s financial integrity. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
Responsibilities
- Review and process all incoming vendor invoices and employee reimbursements
- Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices
- Code and enter invoices into the accounting system accurately and promptly
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain accurate and organized files for all payable documentation
- Assist with month-end closing activities and accruals
- Collaborate with department heads to resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or similar accounting function
- Ability to perform Journal Entries (Accounting)
- Experience with accounting software (knowledge of Northstar is a plus)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range $60,000 - $70,000/year (based on experience)
