What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative position at Thermoid?
Position Summary
Thermoid is currently seeking a customer centric individual who will provide excellent customer service to current and prospective customers by delivering thorough product and service information as well as resolving concerns and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Enter and process customer orders received via fax, email and EDI outlets into ERP database
- Coordinate customer orders and follow-up with the manufacturing operations, finance and sales and marketing teams to ensure customer satisfaction
- Frequent customer communication to improve sales and maintain positive partnerships
- Respond to product and service questions in a prompt and courteous manner
- Identify and resolve product or service delivery issues by clarifying the customer’s concern, investigating the root cause and working with the appropriate, internal teams to provide timely and comprehensive feedback to the customer
- Maintain customer records, including, but not limited to, contact information and updated account information
- Provide prompt and professional support to internal Sales and Operations teams
- Initiate paperwork to prompt internal action on the customers’ behalf (credits, complaints, etc.) and expedite corrections and/or adjustments with appropriate follow-up
- Clerical tasks such as filing, data entry and correspondence
- Actively participate in goal-oriented team and individual meetings
- Any additional duties as assigned by management
Experience and Education
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred at least two years or more of previous customer service experience
- Working knowledge of all MS Office Products
- Basic administrative skills with an emphasis on effective verbal and written communications
- Friendly and helpful approach to assist and resolve customer issues
- Attention to detail as shown by accuracy and consistency, providing requested information on a timely basis, and following policies and procedures
