What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hyperbaric Technician position at Thibodaux Regional Health System?
The Hyperbaric Technician is responsible to the Center Medical Director, hyperbaric physicians, Program Director and APEx administration for the successful implementation, management, and safety of the resources and personnel, which comprise the hyperbaric unit. Responsibilities include but are not limited to safe, smooth, and efficient operation of the monoplace hyperbaric medicine center; direct patient care in the hyperbaric unit; effective communication with all personnel on areas impacting patient treatments and outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- 40-hour UHMS and NBDHMT approved training course.
- Certified Hyperbaric Technician (CHT) or CHT eligible preferred.
- Must maintain all appropriate licenses and certifications.
- At least 1 year experience in clinical hyperbaric medicine.
- BCLS certified.
- Knowledgeable regarding various accrediting and regulatory agencies, such as NFPA, UHMS, and TJC.
