Are you a compassionate nurse with a passion for working with children and supporting their success in school? Join our team as a Nurse working within our school-based clinic sites. The primary responsibilities for 2025 will be specializing in hearing and vision screenings, where you’ll make a meaningful impact on students’ well-being and academic readiness!
When not providing hearing/vision screenings within the school-based setting, you'd work within one of our medical clinic sites as part of the family medicine care team.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct hearing and vision screenings for students across various grade levels with in Mansfield City Schools (travel to various school sites required)
- Document and report screening results
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administrators to support students’ health needs
- Educate students and staff about vision and hearing health
- Refer students to appropriate services as needed for follow-up care
Qualifications:
- Active RN or LPN license in Ohio
- Experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passion for promoting health and wellness in a school environment
- Valid Driver's License and Transportation
- BCI Fingerprint screening required to work within the school setting
