Titan has an excellent opportunity for a Quality Control Lab Supervisor for its Ready-Mix division, located in Fort Lauderdale. This position reports directly to the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

• Testing of concrete samples taken by QA Technicians on a regular basis in order to monitor properties of the products.
• Maintain and correlate data produced from concrete testing network systems; Command Alkon, Systech, & smart devices.
• Concrete masonry testing, as required.
• Maintenance, calibration and minor repair of all lab and field testing equipment.
• Schedule and produce trial batches for FDOT and commercial concrete mix designs.
• Provide input relating to testing programs and concrete mix designs.
• Use test results to make recommendations on product changes.
• Troubleshoot fresh and hardened concrete/mortar problems.
• Maintain a safe work environment. Supervise and coordinate all activities at the lab facility. Maintain current compliances with applicable MSHA, OSHA, FDOT and CMEC criteria.
• Travel between sites as needed

Qualifications:

• Associates degree (AA or AS) or equivalent from two-year college or university, preferred. BA or BS is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Systems, laboratory testing of concrete products, and trial batch procedures.
• Basic knowledge of design and control of ,concrete products and mixtures.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain within one year of employment the following: ACI Grade I Field Testing Technician

ACI Lab Technician I & II

ACI Strength Testing Technician

ACI Self Consolidating Concrete Testing Technician

CTQP Plant Operators Certifications

CTQP Field Inspector Level I

CTQP Lab Technician I & II

NRMCA certifications

• Ability to apply advanced statistical / mathematical concepts as applicable.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Must be able to utilize spreadsheet capabilities in Excel, also having knowledge of Micro-Soft Word and Access is very beneficial.
• Must be able to lift up 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
