**Experience: 24 months of role experience is required. 24 months of Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit experience is required. 3 months of travel experience is required. Experience with Epic is preferred. Requirements: Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license in hand at the time of application. This role will require floating to multiple units Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role. COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted. Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Additional Details: UW Health requires TWO TB SKIN TESTS (PPDs) for onboarding. **BLOOD TESTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED** 1st PPD must be uploaded NO later than one week prior to start date (and must be dated within 12 weeks prior to start date). 2nd PPD must be uploaded within 30 days from start date (please note- assignments may be terminated if traveler does not meet compliance within 30 days). We are seeking a Registered Nurse to work on our 24-bed pediatric unit that specializes in the care of the medically complex child as well as general care pediatrics. Minimum two years pediatric experience required - including trach experience. Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years. Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital. Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred. Needs 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years). Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (not for clinic positions). UW Health Recruitment will send instructions to traveler 2-3 weeks prior to start date. Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the travelers assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract. Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation. QuantiFERON/TSpot results will NOT be accepted for any reason Day/Nights, majority of schedule will be 12 hour shifts. Weekend (every other) and holiday rotation required based on contract. Flexibility is required per operational needs of department.
