What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Controller position at ttg Talent Solutions?
The Controller works closely with the Director of Finance to support daily Finance Department operations and the effective use of organizational funds. This role drives timely, accurate financial reporting, supports audits, and coaches staff on internal controls and sound accounting practices. Responsibilities
- Partner with the Director of Finance and Finance team to support the agency and staff across all areas of fiscal administration
- Oversee timely processing of grant receivables; coordinate with Accountants to track and analyze grant spending
- Confirm journal entries are recorded on time to support monthly financial statement completion
- Oversee accounts receivable processing and revenue recognition; support cash flow projections with the Director of Finance
- Support Accountants with budget modifications to maximize grant reimbursement and funding outcomes
- Review and post daily accounting entries, as needed
- Support the month-end close and prepare account reconciliations, as assigned
- Control general ledger accounts and grant-related payroll distributions
- Reconcile the general ledger monthly to all grants and agency contracts
- Prepare audit schedules and organize documentation for audits and monitoring reviews
- Maintain professional relationships with vendors, contractors, and external agencies
- Keep confidentiality of all information and protect sensitive documents and checks
- Meet department and agency deadlines, including month-end and year-end timelines
- Work a flexible schedule during peak close periods, as required
- Perform other related duties to support efficient finance operations and overall agency needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience
- Nonprofit accounting experience preferred
- Experience managing federal, state, or foundation grants preferred
- Experience with nonprofit ERP systems

Compensation: $100,000–$115,000
