The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District is hiring instructors to lead our cooking camps and classes held at the Conestoga Recreation and Aquatic Center. We are seeking community and safety oriented individuals, with a desire to share their passion for recreation with a wide range of age groups and people.
Job Responsibilities:
Our classes and camps may take place both indoors and outdoors, catering to a diverse community with varying needs and interests. Ideal candidates excel at adapting programming to meet individual abilities and skill levels, fostering positive community experiences, and ensuring safety for all participants.
Scheduling:
- Summer Cooking Camps: Scheduled Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
- School Year Cooking Classes: Typically scheduled for 2 to 10 hours per week, mainly on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings and afternoons, with flexible hours available throughout the week.
Available Positions:
- Instructor II: Must have at least 1 year of experience in leading and instructing general classes and be at least 16 years of age.
- Instructor III: Must have over 1 year of experience and specialized training in the assigned program area; and be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
- Instructor IV: Experience: Over two (2) years of experience in the specialty area AND Education/Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade plus additional specialized training equivalent to four years of college.
