Hiring Nature Kids Preschool Lead Teacher!
Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District is looking for staff who love working with preschool-age children for our 9-month preschool program at the THPRD Nature Center. The Nature Kids Preschool Program is a nature-based preschool that integrates environmental education and Creative Curriculum for children ages 3 - 5 years. Preschool Lead Teacher: The Preschool Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and leading the nine-month, pre-K preschool program at the THPRD Nature Center. Staff members in this job classification work independently within established guidelines to develop, coordinate, supervise, and instruct the day-to-day activities of assigned program areas. They also provide lead direction to assigned part-time staff and volunteers. Lead teachers will be required to ensure compliance of meal and rest break requirements for direct reports. Additionally, lead teachers will be responsible for implementing COVID-19 procedures, including the cleaning and disinfecting of equipment and program materials.
Pay Rate Range: $20.36 - $22.92
Typical Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm depending on program. Our Preschool Lead Teacher position is a part-time year-round position that may be scheduled up to 29 hours per week. Position will be open continuously until filled.

Staff should be prepared to work indoors and outdoors, on uneven surfaces, and in various environmental conditions each week. Staff may be required to wear a mask and should be prepared to demonstrate physical distancing standards in line with current guidelines and requirements to keep all staff and participants safe. Staff should also be prepared to assist with the daily cleaning and sanitization of equipment and program supplies in order to maintain the health and safety of all participants and staff.
