Summary
Performs administrative duties in support of office operations and various program related activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: serving as the primary contact for communicating with and information about the Stone Center for Latin American Studies both in person and on-line, providing administrative support for Tulane financial systems, regularly scheduled and special events, and maintenance of Stone Center for Latin American Studies facilities and equipment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Proficient computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Ability to effectively use on-line financial accounting systems for processing reimbursements, invoices and purchase orders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to accomplish job tasks independently.
- Ability to interact with faculty, students, staff and visitors in a professional and appropriate manner.
- Ability to work as part of a professional team and to collaborate effectively with individuals within internal and external program affiliates.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced office, balancing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years’ administrative assistant experience.
- Associate’s Degree with a concentration in Business Administration
- Bilingual verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
