On behalf of our client we are looking so a Bookkeeper to assist the accounting team of a national benefits organization. This opportunity will begin full-time in office and transition to a hybrid position after ramp up. Their office is located in Rockville, MD.
Responsibilities
- Review and record invoices from vendors to ensure accuracy in billing
- Process expense reports from employees Identify discrepancies and escalate in appropriate manner
- Have knowledge of approved vendors and policies to avoid paying unauthorized invoices and expenses
- Maintain 1099s and generate report at year end
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (preferred)
- 1 - 2 years in accounting or related field
- Strong understanding of General Ledger system and Accounts Payable processing
- Strong organizational, analytical and recording skills
- Detail oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
