That’s the impact you’ll make as a Refrigeration Utilities Technician in Forest, MS, safeguarding our ammonia refrigeration systems and the food millions rely on.
Your mission
- Own the install, maintenance, and repair lifecycle for industrial refrigeration equipment.
- Proactively inspect systems, troubleshoot issues, and fine-tune performance.
- Execute a preventive maintenance program that reduces downtime and extends asset life.
- Record all work thoroughly to maintain accurate maintenance histories.
- Collaborate across teams to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
- Confidently operate forklifts and pallet jacks; climb ladders; use fall protection; and follow LOTO protocols.
- Continuously learn about evolving refrigeration technologies.
- Comply with all safety rules and regulations in every task.
- Support other duties as assigned.
What it takes
- Minimum one (1) year mechanical experience within the last two (2) years; combined experience accepted.
- Rehire policy: eligible after 365 days if previously employed fewer than 3 times.
- Age 18 with valid identification.
- Comfort with basic hand tools; ability to read and follow assignments.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, chillers, boilers, and refrigerants—ammonia experience preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs; climb stairs up to 120 ft and ladders up to 60 ft; stand for long periods; and work in hot, cold, or inclement conditions.
