Compensation Analyst
Hybrid/Remote | Must reside in AZ, OK, SD, TN, TX, UT, or WY
We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Compensation Analyst to support the design, implementation, and administration of comprehensive compensation programs-including base pay, incentive, commission, and bonus structures. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compensation practices are equitable, competitive, and aligned with organizational goals.
Applicants must hold an active Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification.
Essential Job Functions
Analyze and design compensation programs using market data, internal benchmarks, and organizational strategy.
Collect and compile HR metrics and data from various sources, including HRIS, payroll, surveys, and government labor statistics.
Analyze trends related to recruitment, retention, turnover, and legal compliance.
Benchmark jobs using market surveys and internal data to determine competitive pay ranges.
Conduct job evaluations and determine FLSA classifications; maintain accurate job classifications and salary structures.
Develop and maintain job descriptions in collaboration with hiring managers.
Prepare and present reports to HR leadership with findings and strategic compensation recommendations.
Administer and process commission and incentive data for payroll.
Partner with leadership on the creation and regular review of performance scorecards.
Generate regular reports in recruitment, retention, and workforce demographics to identify trends and guide decision-making.
Participate in compensation surveys and analyze results for market competitiveness and pay equity insights.
Support various HR initiatives, projects, and organizational planning related to compensation and total rewards.
Required Qualifications
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is required.
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 4 years of experience as a compensation analyst.
Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Windows-based applications.
Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work within tight timelines.
Must be able to travel independently to branch or department locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
Experience with HR analytics software.
SHRM-CP or HRCI certification.
Additional Details
This is a hybrid/remote position. While the role offers flexibility to work remotely, occasional in-person meetings or travel may be required.
Candidates must reside in one of the following states:
Arizona, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Wyoming.Physical requirements include the ability to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
