Director, Office of Digital Learning

Job Description Summary The Director of the Office of Digital Learning (ODL) is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic vision for online education at the Smith School of Business. This role focuses on expanding online degree and non-degree programs, and broadening access to innovative learning opportunities. The Director collaborates with faculty, administration, students, and external stakeholders to ensure that online programs are scalable, innovative, and aligned with best practices in learning science and pedagogy. Additionally, the Director plays a key role in identifying new program opportunities, securing necessary technology and infrastructure, and working with corporate, public, and nonprofit partners to align online offerings with regional and national workforce needs. The role also oversees program development, project management, and the evaluation of digital learning initiatives to ensure high-quality, learner-centered instruction. Other duties as assigned. Experience: Ten (10) years of experience in education or experiential learning programs. Five (5) years of experience supervising or managing professional staff. Knowledge of best practices in program management and organization. Knowledge of public service and international education and programming. Skill in oral and written communication. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws. Ability to multitask while demonstrating a commitment to customer service and sensitivity to a culturally and ethnically diverse community.
