Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with a focus on surgical procedures and emergency medicine. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients undergoing surgery, providing high-quality care before, during, and after surgical interventions.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine health status and readiness for surgery.
- Administer pre-operative medications and prepare patients for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons during operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition.
- Perform venipuncture and administer injections as required.
- Implement infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment.
- Provide catheter care and manage post-operative recovery for patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery processes.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Strong skills in primary care, patient assessment, and emergency medicine.
- Experience administering injections and performing venipuncture.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and catheter care techniques.
- Familiarity with spinal tap procedures is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $2,600.00 - $2,650.00 per week
