Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse – Wound Care for a 13-week contract position in Fort Defiance, AZ. The RN will be responsible for providing specialized wound care services to patients, including wound assessment, treatment planning, and follow-up care. This is a Monday through Friday day shift opportunity, ideal for experienced wound care nurses seeking a rewarding and impactful temporary assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with acute and chronic wounds
- Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, physical therapists, and dietitians
- Provide patient and family education on wound prevention and care
- Monitor wound healing progress and document outcomes accurately
- Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of Arizona (or compact license)
- Minimum 3 years of recent wound care nursing experience required
- Wound Care Certification (WOCN, WCC, or similar) preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
