Department: Counseling Services Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The Work-Study/Help Desk Assistant will assist with receptionist duties and assist with the daily functions, operations, and activities of the department. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications Must have proof of work-study award letter; High School Diploma or GED; Must be enrolled in UALR. Job Duties and Responsibilities Serves as a receptionist and facilitates the connection of students with CS counselors and educational resources; Assist in creating reports, forms, brochures, and other CS educational materials; Ensures fax, copy machine, and network printers are maintained and all contracts for their services are in order; Assist CS staff with planning, preparation, coordinating, and implementing programming and activities; Run errands on campus; Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director. Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills Reliable attendance and dependable performance; Ability to provide a welcoming environment for individuals seeking CS services by phone, email, or in person; Ability to keep clients' information confidential; Ability to prioritize and maintain office workflow while assisting students seeking services; Demonstrate general computer skills and competence with Microsoft Word, Google Calendar, Excel, and PowerPoint; Ability to create and edit videos, images, and social media posts; Ability to utilize WordPress.
