Job Summary
The University of Colorado Boulder encourages applications for the Aerospace Building Manager. This position will represent the department with internal and external constituents on all issues related to project management, facilities management, and acting EH&S Liaison.

Who We Are
Academic Resource Management (ARM) reports through Academic Affairs. ARM provides support to the Provost and the campus with regard to resource planning and allocation of financial and physical resources for the academic and research enterprise. This includes participation in campus planning activities relating to tuition rates, financial assistance, graduate student support, academic buildings, space use, research infrastructure and academic programs.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Facilities
- Supervise the selection and requisition of materials, independently agree on a price for materials, and make cost-effective solutions and proposals for all projects.
- Manage and monitor the contract design documents supplied by the client/architect and is the acting liaison between consultants, sub-contractors, supervisors and planners ensuring compliance with local construction regulators and by-laws.
- Provide leadership for the physical upkeep of the Aerospace building comprised of research laboratories, office, and support space.
- Manage/coordinate the day-to-day facilities activities (including janitorial services, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and building maintenance duties and operations). This will require coordinating with Facilities Management to monitor any alarm issues and coordinating all hood, autoclave, and controlled environment room certifications.
- Manage all on-site equipment storage. Prepares reports as needed to inform the Provost Office and Chairperson on monthly progress.
- Provide support to the SEEC/SEEL/WIND buildings on an as needed basis. This support will include project management, facilities support and collaboration on facilities initiatives that impact the broader Research Properties Portfolio.
Environmental Health & Safety
- Coordinate all hazardous waste processes (disposal and inventory) with EH&S, enforce applicable safety rules and regulations (OSHA, EPA, State and University), and ensure compliance with all federal, state and campus EH&S regulations.
Access Services
- Manage all building access to Aerospace.

What We Can Offer
- Annual Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000.

What We Require
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree.
- 3 years of building/facilities management experience.
- 1 year construction project management experience.
- Experience working with higher education institutions.

- Excellent communication and writing skills.

- Undergraduate degree in the sciences.
- Experience with budgeting & finance.
- Conflict management and de-escalation experience.
