Job Description
Serve as the primary administrator for the student employment platform, Handshake, which includes:
- Reviewing and approving pending employer registrations and jobs
- Reviewing and approving student and alumni requests for access
- Monitoring student accounts and SIS feeds of student data
- Managing site by identifying and executing routine updates to keep information accurate
- Planning and hosting Handshake User Group (HUG) meetings to discuss best practices, share product updates and record site issues
- Training other career services professionals on administrative features of the site
- Developing and enforcing employer recruitment policies and student usage guidelines
- Posting job vacancies and events for employers, as needed
- Answering student, alumni, and employer inquiries regarding the site
- Assisting with assessment requests and generating reports of site activity
Support the daily management of career center technologies
- Serve as the primary administrator of the Big Interview platform
- Manage faculty and staff requests to access Big Interview
- Manage faculty and staff accounts
- Create semester reports based on site analytics
- Create and share semester updates and annual report based on site analytics Update academic information (degree programs, emphases, etc.) that appears on majors.missouri.edu, Handshake, 12twenty and other software programs and websites
Support employer relations activity within the Career Center
- Provide support to new employer contacts looking to onboard to Handshake
- Help generate recruitment reports and analytics (via Handshake)
- Develop and maintain information about campus recruitment policies
- Serve as point of contact for private households seeking to post jobs on Handshake
- Coordinate communications and outreach to local employers and groups (e.g., Chamber, REDI) regarding off-campus, part-time employment (Chamber, District, etc.)
- Provide logistical support for recruitment events (reserve rooms and tables, secure parking passes, etc.)
- Manage campus employers and individual contacts in Handshake
Serve as primary contact for purchase of office supplies and procurement of software
- Purchase supplies from ShowMe Shop and other businesses for office and reconcile expenses
- Serve as the campus point of contact for Career Center vended software products, including Handshake, Focus 2, Big Interview, Candid Careers, Elevate, Internships-USA, Buffer, CliftonStrengths, 12twenty, HEPdata, uConnect and What Can I Do With This Major?
- Submit procurement forms and payment for contract renewals
Communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Reply to email inquiries sent to the career@missouri.edu resource account
- Answer phones and in-person questions from employers, staff, and students regarding MU Career Center services, campus career resources, and general career inquiries during intercession periods and non-service hours
- Serve on MU Career Services Council and serve as liaison to key stakeholder groups
Other Duties:
- Assist with scheduling MU Career Center space for employers, career counselors, staff, and students
- Participate in the hiring and training of paraprofessional staff
- Monitor content on the HireMizzouTigers.com and MU Career Center websites
- Provide support to MU Career Center projects as needed
Salary
Salary Range: $17.96 to $25.57 per hour

Monday - Friday 8 am – 5 pm, some weekend and evening work
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
