| Department Summary | The Department of Population & Community Health in the School of Public Health at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth is seeking an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. The Department strives to become a model for educational excellence, innovative and collaborative research, and high-impact public health practice that positively affects health issues regionally, nationally, and globally. Our goal is to provide a collegial interdisciplinary learning environment that produces strong researchers and public health practitioners who use biostatistics, epidemiology, and environmental health theories, principles, and methods to significantly improve health at the population level. The faculty in the Department have diverse expertise in areas such as maternal and child health; healthy aging; cancer; quasi-experimental trial methodology; substance use surveillance; and vaccination programming, as well as in the development of novel statistical methods applied to clinical trials, neuroimaging, survey sampling, and genetics. |
| Position Summary | The incumbent will teach in-person graduate level course MACH 5334 Maternal and Child Health Across the Life Course. Materials will expose the student to theories and frameworks in MCH, including the Life Course Theory for children, women, and families, to analyze maternal and child health issues and the impact of inequalities that shape health outcomes. |
