Under the close mentorship of professional staff, the College of Pharmacy is seeking a resourceful and dynamic individual to fill the role of a Marketing Intern. As the successful candidate, you will provide entry level marketing services including building drafting marketing materials and assist with promoting College events. You will raise awareness and improve engagement, helping to share the College of Pharmacy’s story with the world. You will coordinate with our student recruitment efforts and help manage the College’s public image and brand.
The successful candidate will be prompt, organized, and a self-sufficient learner who is motivated to meeting deadlines. They will be able to interact with a variety of audiences in a professional matter with demonstrated emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Participate in the planning and implementation of the College of Pharmacy’s marketing plan.
- Engage with stakeholders, documenting narratives, creating compelling content for promotional materials; distribute across various mediums including social media, web, email, brochures, media guides, programs, etc.
Experience with SWOT analysis - Achieve brand identity utilizing brand assets: vector files for logos, color swatches, textures, etc.
- Represent the College of Pharmacy as a liaison and collaborator with the UNM Health and Health Sciences Marketing and Communications (MarCom) office; coordinate use of shared MarCom resources for College of Pharmacy activities and events, ensure equal access and visibility for the College of Pharmacy amongst UNM marketing materials. Maintain data management and tracking systems to improve marketing efforts, regularly report to leadership on marketing activities.
- Retrieve quotes for, and purchase promotional materials, ensure all College of Pharmacy marketing and promotional materials comply with UNM branding requirements and stay within budget.
- Assess program effectiveness, user experiences across web and social platforms, measuring reach and impact across intended audiences, implement necessary changes for improvement.
- Serve as a public facing contact for marketing requests of the College of Pharmacy and maintain communication with University and College internal and external constituencies.
- Generate communication materials.
- Other duties as assigned.
NOTICE: This is a fixed-term position that is restricted to graduates of accredited university Bachelor’s or Masters programs who have obtained their degrees no earlier than 24 months prior to the date of hire. This position has the possibility for reclassification of title and grade.
