Position Overview
UP Excellence Academy is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Campus Registrar to manage and maintain accurate student records, enrollment processes, and compliance with state and federal regulations. The Campus Registrar will play a critical role in supporting the administrative operations of the school, ensuring a seamless experience for students, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Student Enrollment and Records Management:
- Oversee the entire student enrollment process, including registration, withdrawals, and transfers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records in compliance with state and federal guidelines, including demographic information, attendance, and academic performance.
- Manage student data in the Student Information System (SIS), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare and submit required reports to the district, state, or charter authorities.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including student attendance, immunization records, and program eligibility (e.g., special education, ESL, or gifted and talented programs).
- Track and report student data for accountability measures, such as enrollment trends and demographic statistics.
Communication and Coordination:
- Serve as the main point of contact for enrollment inquiries, providing support and information to prospective and current families.
- Collaborate with school leadership and staff to ensure that student records are aligned with instructional and operational goals.
- Coordinate with other departments to facilitate testing, scheduling, and program placement processes.
Attendance Management:
- Monitor and maintain attendance records, working closely with teachers and the attendance clerk to ensure accurate reporting.
- Communicate with families about attendance policies and procedures, addressing concerns as needed.
Support for Campus Operations:
- Assist with the preparation of student schedules and class rosters.
- Support the administration during state testing and other key operational periods.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support the overall success of the school.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in school operations, student data management, or a related administrative role is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with Student Information Systems (SIS) and other data management platforms.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Knowledge of Texas Education Agency (TEA) regulations and reporting requirements is a plus.
