UPG Electrical powered by UPG is looking for a Stamping Press Operator. Here at UPG Electrical we take pride in serving automotive, consumer products, aerospace, and defense manufacturers, and logistics industries. Advanced processes include precision steel slitting services, high-speed lamination .stamping, high-pressure aluminum die casting, robotic welding, annealing, and complex assembly capabilities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Loads and unloads metal coils through progressive dies, banding coils at the completion of a production run.
- Aligns parts between dies or positions them against fixtures on the machine.
- Accurately completes all production paperwork which includes job cards and tally sheets.
- Removes metal scrap between die and press bed and immediate press floor area. Keeps work area orderly and clean.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety, and environmental standards.
- Responsible for quality of part produced per the operator instructions.
Position Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience in manufacturing environment.
- Read and understand work instructions, including Load and Packing instructions.
- Experience with ERP systems, entering information when needed.
- Retrieve documents in ERP system, such as work instructions.
- Positive demeanor, dependability, and strong work ethic.
- Forklift knowledge and experience would be a plus.
- Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 70 lbs. occasionally).
