Title and Summary Manager, Product Management Overview In this role, the Commercial Product Manager will be responsible for managing the commercialization plan and steps for Mastercard Gateway and its key partner(s) headquartered in the U.S. with global operations. Advancing the commercialization plans will require leveraging a strong understanding of customer requirements as well as market trends, product features and capabilities to construct the proposition that best meet the partner needs, as well as internal objectives. To do this, the Commercial Product Manager needs to jointly establish strategic goals, considering product capabilities, scale and reach of the reseller and execute against it to help reseller maximize revenue potential. This role presents an opportunity for cross functional team leadership, exposure to multi-market customers, and executive visibility. Additional opportunities may evolve to support RFPs and new business opportunities. Role We are looking for someone who has both a strong understanding payments and payment gateways landscape, and strong sales skills to manage customers from strategy-setting to go-live, while growing our gateway business with the customer/reseller partner. • Understand the digital payment & acceptance space, establish self as trusted product SME and advise reseller of market trends to consider in joint product roadmap. Serve as Product Expert for features in use. • Identify expansion or optimization opportunities for Mastercard Gateway features/services, pitch and provide guidance on how to maximize value on an ongoing basis. Serve as Sales specialist for new features. • Closely follow and complete defined commercialization processes, including contracting, billing set up, creation of white label sales materials and sales training. • Define and develop Mastercard Gateway product strategy & roadmap for reseller globally, leveraging Mastercard Gateway capabilities, priorities, and roadmap items. • Advocate for the customer internally. Share Voice of Customer, feedback and insights with global product counterparts and other stakeholders for consideration into product roadmap or to improve processes. • Create team wide presentations, strategy documents and update materials to be shared with executive management – support quarterly business reviews driven by Account Team. • Presence at in person customer meetings required – 30% All About You: • Excellent knowledge of the payments and payment gateways landscape – preferably with background in technology, acceptance, digital and/or acquirer roles - with a keen eye on business needs and global trends. • Sound business judgment with established strategic thinking and strategic planning skills. • Demonstrated sales experience, with strong problem solving, analytical, quantitative communication and organizational skills. • Excellent presentation skills, both drafting and presenting, strong executive presence. • Strong Business Acumen & Technical fluency – ability to lead technical conversations, while keeping Mastercard Gateway’ and customers’ business priorities and drivers top of mind, and persuade others to take action. • Capable of working under pressure – navigating complex initiatives, competing priorities, customer requirements and constant change. • Self-starter and a team player, who work collaboratively with other internal cross-functional teams and able to build a strong network of internal stakeholders. • Detail oriented & organized • Bachelor’s degree required.
