Serving as a Reservist

• Your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods.
• You'll work at a location close to your home, giving you the flexibility to expand your medical experience in the Navy without compromising your civilian practice.
• During annual training, physicians may serve anywhere in the world, whether at sea, in hospitals stateside, or in bases and camps in countries around the world.

Job Requirements

• You must have a MD or DO degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy.
• You must have a current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
• You must be eligible for board certification.
• You must have completed at least one year of an approved graduate medical education internship.
• You must be between 21 and 42 years of age (waivers are granted on a case-by-case basis up to age 68).
• You must be a U.S. citizen.
