About the Role
As a Navy Physician and Officer in the Navy Medical Corps, you will contribute to the highly respected Navy healthcare team, providing medical care for Sailors, Marines, service members, their families, and humanity at large when called upon.
You will handle routine physician tasks, such as diagnosing ailments and treating injuries, while also having opportunities to excel beyond typical duties:
- Work at top military medical facilities on shore, at sea, or in the field
- Collaborate with fellow military doctors and other healthcare officers
- Partner with International Relief Teams and organizations like FEMA, USAID, and Project Hope
- Gain management experience and exposure outside your specialty
Flexible Schedule
Your part-time duties as a Reservist will be carried out during scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drills, Physicians in the Navy Reserve typically work close to their homes, offering flexibility to expand their medical experience without compromising their civilian practice.
Annual training may take place anywhere in the world, including at sea, hospitals stateside, or bases and camps globally.
