Job Summary:
Vaco is partnering with a leading company in the industrial sector to identify a talented Information Security Engineer II who can support and strengthen enterprise-level security initiatives. About the Role:
In this role, you'll play a vital part in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise security systems. You'll support governance efforts, evaluate threats, lead infrastructure upgrades, and ensure compliance with security standards. You'll also help shape the security roadmap and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of the security program roadmap
- Design and implement secure infrastructure solutions and tools
- Manage and administer firewalls, proxies, DLP, SIEM, VPNs, and endpoint protections
- Monitor and respond to threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents
- Recommend and implement security improvements across systems and networks
- Support audits, compliance, and documentation of policies and controls
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate security into broader IT projects
- Participate in vendor assessments, product evaluations, and self-audits
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
- 3 years in an information security role, or 5 years in senior-level systems/network engineering with a strong focus on security
- Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure security tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, proxies, SIEM)
- Familiarity with NIST, CIS, and other security frameworks and standards
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and cloud security concepts
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, Security , PCNSE, or Network are highly desirable
- Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
Salary : $115,000 - $140,000
