We are seeking a motivated, analytical Accountant to join our finance team. This position reports directly to the Site Controller and plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the company’s financial records. You will be responsible for recording financial transactions, completing timely and accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with internal reporting and supporting strategic financial initiatives that drive business performance.
This role requires a working knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, fixed assets, and cross-functional collaboration. The Accountant will also serve as the reviewer for the Accounts Payable activity, helping to ensure accuracy, compliance, and readiness for month-end and quarter-end close. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and the initiative to drive process improvement and growth.

Duties And Responsibilities
Oversee and record Financial Transactions:
- Accurately record daily and period-end financial transactions in the general ledger.
- Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, amortizations, and intercompany activity.
- Monitor fixed asset additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules to ensure accurate capitalization and reporting.
- Ensure proper documentation supports all journal entries
- Maintain proper internal controls over financial reporting and transaction approvals.
- Lead or contribute to process improvement initiatives across the finance function and cross-functional departments.
- Perform and review reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Lead the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow).
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and key business drivers.
- Support management reporting and ad hoc analysis
- Ensure strict adherence to GAAP, all relevant accounting regulations and company policies and proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Serve as a key point of contact during internal audits, providing necessary documentation, walkthroughs and explanations.
- Support accurate submission of tax and regulatory filings
- Contribute to finance process improvements and special projects.
- Review and approve employee expense reports; set up new users in Concur and manage access levels
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 3 years of relevant accounting experience (manufacturing preferred)
- Knowledge of GAAP, close processes, and internal controls
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs); ERP experience preferred
- Familiarity with cost accounting, inventory, and fixed assets
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently and cross-functionally
- Results driven and proactive; strong desire to own and execute area of responsibility with excellence and minimal supervision.
