Valley Community Services Board (VCSB) is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team! Under the direction of the Quality & Compliance Manager, the Quality Assurance Specialist plays a vital role in the agency’s data gathering, analysis, and reporting.

Essential Functions
Coordination of Client Records Audits.
- Coordinates monthly internal audits to identify potential areas of non-compliance.
- Collaborate with clinical team leaders to maintain high quality records in accordance with federal, state, and agency requirements.
- Stays up to date on payer and licensure requirements for all clinical services.
Incident Reporting
- Assists as needed with submission of fraud reports to the Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services.
- Ensures timely submission of qualifying incidents or complaints to the Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services’ abuse, neglect, and exploitation reporting system.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times in accordance with applicable privacy laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the HIPAA Privacy Rule and C.F.R. 42.
Electronic Record System Training
- Serves as the subject matter expert for the agency’s electronic health record system.
- Assists with the development and delivery training on the EHR for new hires and in response to quality and compliance concerns as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, health information management, or related field.
- Must pass required pre-employment screenings, including, but not limited to, criminal history and experience verification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of experience working in an electronic health records system (EHR).
- Experience working at a Community Services Board or similar healthcare organization.
- Demonstrated familiarity with regulations pertaining to healthcare delivery including, but not limited to, licensing requirements.
- An understanding of the complex relationships between state and federal healthcare agencies and their impact on healthcare providers.
- General knowledge of HIPAA and Privacy Standards.
